Tell Us The Simple Meals You Relied On During A Rough Time In Your Life

When you’re going through an awful time, feeding yourself can be a huge chore.

If you’re grieving, recovering from trauma, or taking care of someone who is ill, you may find yourself eating a ton of fast food or surviving on hospital vending machine snacks; not having the motivation to cook and then letting fresh groceries go bad; or losing your appetite and simply not eating at all.

In those instances, finding a few moderately nutritious, somewhat cheap, relatively easy to prepare things to eat can be a game-changer.

So, we want to hear what foods/meals actually nourished you during a difficult time!

Maybe canned chili dumped over a baked* potato was your go-to dinner for months after a loved one died.

Or perhaps cheese quesadillas were the only meal you had the mental energy to prepare in the weeks following your miscarriage.

Or maybe you’ve learned that when everything is bad, frozen pierogies are very good — fast to prepare and won’t spoil if you don’t make them right away.
